The PINAVIA junction is one-fourth less expensive when building a junction for roadways of differing categories than the Cloverleaf interchange, which to date has been viewed as the least expensive of dual-level junctions. Moreover, the PINAVIA junction has greater through capacity, traffic is markedly safer, while the area at the center of the junction can be sold at well over purchase cost.
